Act for the Treatment of Schoolchildren with Asthma, Diabetes, and Other Diseases

This law mandates that students with asthma or diabetes be permitted to self-administer their prescribed medications while at school, on school grounds, during school-sponsored activities, or on a school bus. It requires the Department of Education to develop training protocols for staff to assist students in these emergencies.
